Have You Met Me?
I'm Krista. I have been teaching myself how to sew for the last year, and sew something every single day.
Having grown up in a day and age where all of our goods are being produced in far away lands, by people who I will never meet, I felt very far removed from the products I was consuming. I wanted to learn how the tee shirts I was wearing were made, what my cleaning products were made of. I wanted to see the steps in the production process. I also wanted to know if I could make them myself. So with the help of others out there on the interwebs, who take time out of their lives to show how they make things, I started trying it all myself.
My goal is to become more productive, learn valuable trades, and be less wasteful.
My projects aren't always perfect, but I don't care. I write this blog to document my progress, to babble about my nutty opinions, to teach what I am learning, to inspire creativity, to thank those who teach me, to show that there are alternatives to corporate enslavement, and mainly because I'm really, really bored.
