One Of These Things Is Not Like The Others

...One of these things is not like the others,
One of these things just doesn't belong,
Can you tell which thing is not like the other
By the time I finish my song?

Yeah yeah, it's a bit creepy and gross posting a close up of my hair, but I had to document this. Just weeks before my 29th birthday, I found my first gray hair. Then I found more.

Why is this a big deal to me? Well finding it means that it has been a while since I have dyed my hair last, and I really haven't given coloring it again much thought. HOORAY! It was an addiction. I have been dying my hair since I first started with cherry Kool-Aid in Jr. High. And I love gray hair. I don't know why. I just do.

So hopefully I can keep from dying my hair anymore so I can see what happens to it.

I started getting gray strands here and there when I was 30. I'm now 36 (in a few weeks) and my students today were trying to count my grays. I just about punched them! LOL I don't mind them. I won't dye my hair since it's too much money and too much upkeep for me. My lovely MIL told me, "You're going to eventually want to dye your hair because when people with your hair color go gray it never looks good." I almost killed her. I think I shot her a death glare for quite some time after that. I love gray and I think I'm going to go WHITE and not gray! :) I wear it with pride. :)

I got my first grey hair at the ripe 'ole age of 13!!! I coming up to 49 now and my hair is almost all grey. I stopped colouring it some years ago as I just couldn't be bothered with the upkeep (my hair grows fast!) and I'm pretty sure that it really can't be a terribly good thing to keep dousing your head in all those chemicals! So now I have long grey hair and don't care what anyone else may think LOL

I haven't noticed any in my hair yet, but my husband (who's 32) has started getting a couple. I just tell him he's my silver fox now. :-)
