I have been wanting to try embroidering on a print for a while now. I was always afraid that if I chose the wrong print, or the wrong shade of floss, or the wrong subject matter, that the image would simply disappear into the fabric.

So I tried using a bold print, dark floss, and a simple image as an experiment.

Hooray! It worked.

However, the longer I embroidered, the more the pattern began to play tricks on me.

What started out as this...

...ended up looking to me like this.

AAAAAAHHHHHHH!

Seriously, stare at it for a bit.

I think it gave me a headache.
