Strangers Aren't All Bad

Strangers. They cut in front of you in line while you're waiting for your morning coffee, they don't hold the door open for you as you enter behind them at the post office, they try to mow you down going 35 through a red light, they call you a liar, and tell you that you are going to hell while you meekly attempt to purchase feminine hygiene products.

...yes that has actually happened much to the entertainment of myself, the cashier, and everybody in line.

But sometimes, they send you an e-mail offering to fuel your addiction when you're a bit flat in the wallet.

After whining about my depleted fabric stash here on my blog, I received an e-mail asking, almost begging :) me to take some fabric off the hands of one of my faithful readers.

mab, author of The mab Blab ( mab, spelled in all lowercase "because she wants it that way") and owner of Etsy shop la*le Style says her house is engulfed in fabric, fearing for the lives of her children at the hands of her extensive fabric stash.

I never have been one to turn down free anything. So I happily accepted the offer.

I received the package this week, and boy was I a happy girl.

First, the package was hysterical.

Second, the fabric is right up my alley. I can't wait to start sewing this weekend.

Third, she included some beautiful lengths of lace, and some buttons.

How cute are these buttons? Wait, I think I'm about to puke from cute overload.

I promptly sat down to make myself a bracelet out of one of these buttons, so I can stare at it, and admire it's cuteness all day long. A cat in a sombrero! Cute, and nonsensical. I LOVE IT!

Thank you a hundred times mab. I may not know you, but you sure aren't a stranger anymore.

When I was digging through my stash, those buttons called out to me and begged to go in your box -- now I'm double happy that I did! (And a bit envious that I didn't think of making cool cat sombrero bracelets of them....)

I'm soooooo glad you liked the package! I also can't wait to see what you do with some of that fabric. Maybe it'll inspire me to use up more of my stash. :)

Thanks for the bloggy shout-out!
