Scraps

So like I said, I don't have much crafting money, so I have been using up scraps like it's my job. While they are proving to go a long way, I would love some yardage for big projects.

So I have been saving up.

Yes, I found a use for one of my old juice jars. I put a few bucks in there when I can. Then I will go on a fabric binge. Some lucky Etsian will surely benefit from my savings.

I made my first plushie entirely out of scraps.

I made some scrappy broaches.

Here's a needle book.

Maybe now I will stop jamming my needles in the arm of my chair when I'm embroidering.

Last, I thrifted this super cool knit blazer. It looks boxy, but fits pretty good. I guess I could stand to take it in an inch.

I put it in my shopping cart totally happy with the way that it was, but the minute I got it home, I couldn't leave well enough alone.

I made a little letter, and appliqued it onto the back. Then I did some embroidery.

I like how it looks a bit imperfect. A co-worker of mine was walking behind me, and asked if I had a piece of paper on my back. So maybe it's not imperfect, maybe it's just right.

I love scrap projects! I especially love the needle book, because I always stick my needles in my chair, too, and I'm soooo afraid one of these days I'm going to forget it in there and a child will find it.

I'm using an old jar for my change, too. It's not as cute as yours, though. Mine's my tattoo fund. :-)

i really don't mind the scrap projects. the biggest problem is, i have used so much of the same fabric over, and over again, i'm really kinda sick of looking at it. :)

i thought i was the only lazy one out there who used her chair as a pin cushion. :)

Wow how inspring! I love all the things you have made using scraps. Your little owl is darling and I LOVE what you did with jacket.
